Hi,

My name is Jordan Robinson. I am a 21 year old musician, multi-instrumentalist, and producer/audio engineer with 11+ years of experience located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I am a music instructor at the Barrhaven Music Academy and I am one of the guitarists in a local Ottawa technical death metal band. Electric guitar was the first instrument I learned, around 2008. I began picking up other instruments and skills as the years went on, such as drums and bass guitar, and audio production. Music that challenges the listener to stay attentive exemplifies what I enjoy listening to and what I aspire to put forward in my own songs. Music has always been a passion of mine and it continues to amaze me how much more there still is to discover as you begin to start putting the puzzle pieces together. It is a lifelong journey that I am extremely grateful to be a part of.

My latest album “Finely Tuned Elephant” took me two and a half years to complete. I began writing one month after the release of my first ever EP and I am very happy with the final result! All the composition, arrangement, recording, and mixing/mastering on this album was done by myself. I also played all the instruments. The album was largely influenced by Shrapnel Records era guitarists and modern fusion guitarists along the likes of Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe, and Michael Lee Firkins (to name only a few). It is a culmination of my imagination throughout the last two and a half years.
